Free PDF Editor on phone , Mac and Pc without Adobe Acrobat Pro

Sending PDF files is pretty straightforward, but when it comes to editing one can be a hassle, especially when you don’t have your computer with you and you have to edit on your phone. Luckily our team have found easy and fast ways to edit a PDF file on an iPhone or Android phone, as well as on a Mac and PC.Let us start with basics like adding text, signing documents and filling out forms. And all the apps and software that we will use are FREE.

Editing a PDF on a Mac OS

Every Mac comes has a software called Preview by Apple. That is used for viewing and editing photos and PDF files.

To start, simply click on your PDF file and it will automatically open in Preview. If it does now work, open applications folder on ur mac and then open Preview. The icon looks like sea and a small magnifying glass on the corner. From there, you’ll see a window asking you to select the file you want and when you’re ready, click the blue open button.

For accessing the toolbar, click the Markup tool it on top right side next to the search field. icon looks like a pencil tip. Click on Text tool it look like letter T inside square box and a text box will appear in the middle of your document.

You have Text Style to change the appearance of the text. To resize resize the text box, click on any one of the blue dots. This will allow you to make the text field bigger or more narrow by dragging them left or right.

You also have tools to draw and sketch. The Draw tool lets you draw pretty much whatever you want with your pointer while the Sketch tool turns the objects you draw into shapes with fill and border. If you are just drawing a line or squiggle, you can change the colour and thickness with the Shape Style tool — the stacked parallel lines — or Border tool — the small square inside of a large square. If you’re not feeling particularly artistic, you can also add shapes that already made.

One of my most liked tool is the signature adding feature. Click on the tool that looks like cursive letter J then click on Create Signature. You will have to pick from two option you can use your trackpad to sign your signature by moving ur fingers on trackpad or you can scan your signature using MAc’s built in camera.

When u use the trackpad, you will have to click then Click here to begin once you are done then press any key. If you are happy with the signature, hit Done. The second way to make your signature is to sign your name on a white piece of paper and scan it. You have to click on the Camera tab and not the Trackpad tab. After Clicking on camera tab you have to place a white piece of paper in front of the camera and line up your signature on the black line. After a sometime, your signature will appear on screen in the camera preview. If you like it, click Done.

If you already have a stored signatures, then all you have to do is click on the one you want from the Sign menu. After that you can, resize and reposition it wherever your signature needs to go.

One you are done with your edit, click save. You can also export your changes and create a new PDF file.

Edit on Iphone with MarkUp mode

Even in iphone you don’t need any special app for basic edits. Like you have Preview on mac, you have Mark Up mode. Whether you want to edit a PDF inside an email message or a file that’s been saved in the Books app, tap on the Mark Up mode icon it looks like a circle with a pencil tip in it.

When you look at the bottom of the screen, you will see you have different tools a highlighter, pen, pencil and eraser. If you tap on the plus icon thats on the the right to add text boxes, shapes, a magnifier and even signatures.

If you already have signature saved in Preview on your Mac, then your iCloud account will automatically sync it to MarkUp mode on your iPhone. To add a new one directly to your phone, tap Add or Remove Signature, then tap the plus sign on the top left of your screen. you will have to sign with your finger on the line and pressDone to save.

As you add edits to your PDF file, you can use the undo arrows to remove your mistake or You can even use the eraser tool that can be used to remove any unwanted drawings, sketches that u made.

Once you are finished with your edit, you can reply via an email message with your new or updated PDF, you can even AirDrop it, email it or print it via the iOS share menu.
