Samsung Galaxy S11 will have revolutionary Camera Upgrade

Talk of the town Samsung’s widely acclaimed Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus, excitement is already building for next year’s widely leaked Galaxy S11 flagship and, in particular, its camera.

Tipped as a new beginning for Samsung, the Galaxy S11 is expected to bring with it a huge leap forward in camera hardware. This is sure to come as a relief to those frustrated at the company’s recent tendency to rely on out-dated 12-megapixel sensors while selling its best technologies to its competitors rather than using them in its own Galaxy range.

Now a new report in the Korean tech news outlet The Elec suggests we can expect a 5x optical zoom lens for the S11 in addition to Samsung’s latest 108-megapixel sensor, most recently seen in Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 4 and Mi Mix Alpha smartphones.

If the report is to be believed, next year’s Galaxy flagship will include a 5x optical zoom capability, thanks to a periscopic telephoto lens launched by Samsung Electro Mechanics earlier this year, the same design already employed to great effect in OPPO’s Reno 5G and the Huawei P30 Pro.
